IT'S YOU WHO WILL STAY
In the 24 years of life, I have discovered one thing- People will come and go but it's your work that stays with you always. It might be that your friendships or relationships may or may not be in best of shape but you should be. Because these are phases of life.
I had many friends, some of them I am in touch and some not. Lot's of memories made and all. This is also important. We all need some people to always have our back and for emotional and mental support. Even in family or relatives, people may or may not always be available for you. May be due to some situations or stuff but it is you who always has to be there for you.
This is why I believe, that it is always work that stays with you. Work is your voice, your identity. Your work is going to take you to places that you may even not have imagined.
People may or may not be with you but work will always be there for you. For sure your career will leave a legacy if you are honest with it.
But it does not mean that you should avoid your friendships or relationships, it just means that you should prioritize yourself first. Be it in the case of work, friendship, relationship, or any bloody thing. At the end of the day, it is you who will stay with yourself and none will.
I have come a long way. Over the years, I have met a lot of people, earned a lot of experiences but at the end of the day it is always me who is there for myself.
Pamper yourself whenever you need. Don't wait someone else to do it for you or with you. You want to have a coffee at a particular cafe, go have it even if you have to go all alone. Treat yourself. You are capable to do that. You want to relax- read a book, go for a walk or do some painting or journaling stuff.
Do whatever that makes you happy. Join some courses, learn something new. You want to learn a dance form that you always wanted, then do it with all means. What's stopping you? You feel that there is no time for doing all this stuff? Then make room for it. Ab din mein toh 24 ghante hi hai, issi mein krna hai jo krna hai.
There are also n number of online platforms to learn- Youtube, Coursera, skillshare, udemy to name a few.
Make time for yourself, prioritize the ME in you.
And this I wish stays with me and all the other people to whom this post might reach.
